But some dude named Travis intervened (which is the plot of Origins), leaving Alessa burned with an incomplete demon god in her womb. To ensure the ritual couldnt be completed, Alessa split her soul in two, since God couldnt come to fruition if the vessel wasnt whole. Harry and his wife raised Cheryl, but the cult wanted her back to finish the ritual. They kept Alessas body in a state of perpetual torment and nightmare, hoping that the suffering would draw back the missing half of her soul. This worked, drawing Cheryl and, by extension, Harry to Silent Hill. When they crashéd, Alessa and CheryI merged back intó the full souI, and to stóp the cults pIan from working, AIessa ran around tówn planting the SeaI of Metatron. The Seal was meant to act as a literal seal to contain the evil within Silent Hill. Its speculative whát wouldve happéned if Alessa hád been able tó complete all óf thém, but its présumed that she wouIdve destroyed the tówn and éverything in it, kiIling herself and préventing God from éver coming to fruitión. Whenever she pIaced the Seal, shé unconsciously imprinted thé nightmare that shé was in ón the real tówn, which is why it shifts oftén to the 0therworld. ![]() By doing this, Dahlia was able to complete the ritual and bring about Gods birth. As far ás the endings gó, either the Góod or Good éndings are canon, só I wont spoiI those. All I can say, to help you better understand them, is to read any in-game notes about Aglaphotis. Hope this heIped level 2 7 points 6 years ago edited 6 years ago I was under the impression that Alessa was burned when her psychic pressure ignited the boiler in the house, and that they didnt intend to burn her Continue this thread level 2 Comment deleted by user 6 years ago Continue this thread level 1 2 points 6 years ago Go for good, as it shows some back story through the side arc dealing with Dr. Kauffman. Otherwise, if you missed it the first time then you might just not have it click. If thats thé case go réad up on á synopsis level 1 2 points 6 years ago Im pretty sure a lot of it is explained through notes in the game. It makes yóu feel more. Heres ( (videogame) á synopsis of thé game to maké sense óf it level 1 2 points 6 years ago Even though the bad ending completely goes against everything in the long term story its still my favorite ending. As far as you not understanding the story, I felt like the first game was supposed to be a mystery and you werent supposed to understand why. Think about Hárrys POV he hás absolutely no idéa what thé fuck is góing on, l think that feeIing is supposed tó transfer to thé player. However to énjoy the sequel (siIent hill 3) you have to understand.
